Baby Will || HE'S TWO!

Weight: We have his 2 year check up Monday, so I'm going to guess he weighs 24 lbs! 
Diaper size: Size 3
Clothing size: Still mostly 12 month clothes

Nicknames: mister, sir, mr will, baby will

Health: He's been completely healthy this summer so far! 

Sleep: He sleeps from 7pm-6am with 2 naps (1 hr-1.5hrs each)  during the day. I'm thinking he'll be switching to one nap soon

Diet: He's FINALLY eating things! and SELF-FEEDING for the most part. He's still suuuper picky when it comes to texture. He'll EAT goldfish, graham crackers, Chesters puffs, yogurt melts, cheerios, chocolate chips (hah!), yogurt, marinara sauce. Still nothing substantial, so he still has a bottle. We still see a feeding specialist and an OT, each once a month.

Loves: attempting to run, playing with friends, playing in water/pool, climbing on everything, when dada comes home from work, playing with his cousin James, snuggling/giving kisses,

Dislikes: changing out of his swimsuit, when dada leaves for work in the morning, coming inside after playing outside

Milestones: He is a full-blown toddler full of tantrums, giggles & mischief. He understands SO much, but only can communicate a little bit-makes for lots of tantrums. 

Speech: He signs 'all done' and says "duh" while signing, he signs 'more' and says "muh", he signs sorry,open, and please. He says "ba" for ball & bottle -depending on context, "da" for dada, "hi" & "hello"& "bye", "doh" for go, "wah" for water

I really cannot believe my little 1lb 15oz baby is TWO! He has come so far from where he started. We are so blessed that he has no lasting health effects from being born so early. I've been volunteering with the Parent Support Group at the NICU where Will was each Tuesday night, so I'm reminded weekly how small he was. It continues to amaze me that they are able to save these tiny tiny babies, even ones smaller than Will was! Will is VERY small for his age. VERY. For example, twice this week when we've been out in public other moms have asked how old he is, (I usually lie and say the age of the size he is, BUT he's almost TWO! So I haven't been lying) and when I say "he's two this week!" a look of surprise mixed with confusion comes across their faces. AND it just so happened that both of these moms in each situation had 14-16 month olds with them that were BIGGER than Will. I then had to explain how he was born at 26 weeks, so he's extra small for his age. SO he's basically the size of a 12-14 month old right now. He has short legs. and I mean SHORT. He has been wearing 6 month shorts this summer and they barely touch his knees. 9 month shorts go past his knees. short legs! I don't know where he got them either because neither Matt nor I have short legs. We'll have to see how he grows! He is so darling, and gives THE best kisses, puckers up and everything. He's very sweet with babies, all he wants to do is snuggle and kiss them! Which makes me very happy since he has a little sibling on the way!

Photography || Baby Crue

Oh how I LOVE newborns! Let's just say it's a good thing I'm pregnant :)! 

I was able to take maternity's before Crue made his arrival, and I was so happy Kelli and Matt asked me to do newborns too! It's so special to be able to see the pregnancy glow, and follow to the even-brighter glow of becoming a mother! Sweet Crue has the brightest blonde hair and beautiful big eyes!  Here are a few of my favorites of our session together! Enjoy!

Baby Will || 22 Months

My sweet babe is 22 months, 19 adjusted! 

He's officially a WALKER! He now prefers walking over crawling! This makes my heart so happy. 

Weight: 22ish pounds!
Diaper size: Size 3
Clothing size: Still mostly 12 month clothes! Even 12 months pants-woohoo!

Nicknames: mr Will, sweet babe, 

Health: Will caught a nasty cold a couple weeks ago :( several cough attacks ended in throw up!  

Sleep: Still sleeping through the night, (7pm-7am)  with 2 naps (1 hr each)  during the day 

Diet: We are still seeing a feeding specialist and it's been going well. He will now put things like goldfish & crackers in his mouth on his own. He will still spit out whatever he bites off, but the fact that he puts it in his mouth is a HUGE deal! His recent favorite food is chocolate pudding. 

Loves: WALKING WALKING WALKING! playing peekaboo, signing 'hello', walking outside, playing with cars.

Dislikes: Having his nose wiped

Milestones: Walking full-time! I officially feel like I have a toddler! He's also starting to imitate more words & sounds and understands a ton more too! 

Speech: He'll pick up my phone and put it to his ear and say "Hi!", He also says "Ball" "SH" "wow" and "woah"  

He's the happiest little boy and LOVES playing with friends & his cousin James. He gets along with other babes so well, and he is SO soft and gentle with my niece Raina! I am so happy with all the progress he has made.
